CCF CHEETAHS ALIVE! EXHIBITION
Thirty of the world’s most spectacular cheetah photographs went on display in London from 21 September–7 October 2015 to raise awareness of the cheetah’s plight in the wild.
I produced an exhibition to celebrate 25 years of Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF), Namibia, and their groundbreaking research into saving Africa’s most iconic big cat. I invited submissions from many of the world’s finest big cat photographers, including Andy Rouse, David Lloyd, Charlie Hamilton James, Federico Veronesi, Paul Souders, Suzi Eszterhas, Angie Scott, Britta Jaschinski and Adrian Steirn. I oversaw the printing, captioning, promotion and hanging of the images in the gallery. The exhibition was kindly hosted by the Patrick Mavros gallery in London. It culminated in two exclusive fundraising events, one of which was hosted by 'A Slow Train Through Africa' presenter Griff Rhys Jones. |

All 30 images were available to purchase, including signed prints by CCF patrons Jonathan and Angie Scott and Adrian Stiern.
More than £25,000 was raised to support CCF’s pioneering work to protect the cheetah. Their integrated conservation programmes include providing Namibian farmers with trained livestock guarding dogs to protect their livestock from cheetah predation, producing biomass logs – called bushbloks – to provide local communities with a sustainable source of fuel to reduce habitat loss, and mapping the cheetah genome.
